YAMAHA PSS-103 / PSS-104
The PSS-104 is a mini-key electronic keyboard released by Yamaha in 1991, featuring a 2-operator FM sound source with PCM drums and a sound chip model YM7129. Its most distinctive characteristic is the near absence of panel buttons for controlling specific functions. Almost all operations require inserting a cartridge (which essentially contains the keyboard's program ROM chip and peripheral circuits in a detachable format - each cartridge corresponds to a paper card set, and the keyboard cannot function at all without a cartridge inserted) and paper card, with operations performed via navigation buttons around the paper card slot.
The PSS-103 maintains essentially the same appearance and performance as the PSS-104, but was only sold with green cartridges during its distribution.
