ROLAND MT-32 / MT-100
Released in 1987 by ROLAND, the MT-32 was initially targeted at the consumer market. It used the GM 1 standard, a precursor to the GM standard.
The MT-32 hardware came in two versions. The V2 version modified the PCB circuit board and made minor adjustments to sound quality and functionality.
The following year (1988), the MT-100 added a disk drive and sequencer functionality to the MT-32, enabling independent recording and playback of music.
